Language Access as a Fundamental Right for Inclusion and Development

Deaf Outreach Program is transforming the Learning and Health outcome of the Deaf community through sign language accessible platforms and technologies for education and reproductive health

This effort strengthens our mission of mainstreaming Deaf and disability rights in development, with a particular focus of reducing inequalities of access to quality education and information access.

OUR DIGITAL SOLUTIONS

SRHR Sign-Language Android App

We are positioning the App as an African open-source platforms support Deaf person access to key Sexual and reproductive and health information in Sign language, the App is easily downloadable in all versions of the mobile devices and engages minimal Data for content access.

SRHR Sign-Language IOS App

The iOS version of the SRHR Sign Language mobile app is a replica of the Android version, currently in its early stages of development.

Ongoing enhancements are being made to ensure optimal functionality and a seamless user experience. The app is available for free download on all iOS devices

Digital Library Android App

The Deaf Digital library is primarily Available as an offline Learning management system that support Access of curriculum content to Deaf learners in all levels as most school do not have access to Internet access, however this App replicates in context the functionality of the Deaf Digital Library offline LMS

This innovation is on its early stage of development and Support is largely needed for Content Development to make the Digital Library comprehensive for all learners in all Grade.

FILM PRODUCTION
To break information barrier faced by Deaf community DEAFOP develops tailored sign language content for education and health and optimizes its distribution on platforms accessible to Deaf individuals such as through various distribution channels including our applications

At DEAFOP, we believe that every individual deserves the opportunity to become the best version of themselves, guided by their own vision and aspirations. Our ultimate goal is to create sustainable livelihood pathways through improved learning outcomes and better health for the Deaf community.
In partnership with the Institute for Disability Training (IDT), we equip Deaf youth and community groups of persons with disabilities with skills training that fosters confidence, builds capacity, and creates sustainable livelihood pathways, enabling them to achieve economic independence
